One of our core missions is to inspire children to give back while learning the value of service. Through our After School Program, students take part in monthly service projects, each centered around a meaningful theme that encourages hands-on community involvement; here’s a sampling:

• American Childhood Cancer Organization / St. Jude’s Childrens Hospital — September
• Loudoun County Animal Shelter — October
• Loudoun Hunger Relief’s Thanksgiving Drive — November
• Toys 4 Tots  — December
• SMART Goals — January: students develop personal goals for the end of January, end of school year and end of summer
• Love Thy Neighbor: Celebrating Our Differences — February
• Stress Awareness Month: Coping with Stress — March: students learn coping techniques
• Earth Month: Our Planet, Our Power — April: hands-on activites using recyclable items for planting seeds, constructing bird feeders, etc.
• Wounded Warrior Project — May: collecting gift cards through May 31 to donate to Wounded Warrior Project. students will also write thank you letters to our military to be distributed by Operation Gratitude.
